TWSE Signs MoUs in India’s GIFT City, Showcasing International Progress of Asian Asset Management Center Initiative

The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) conducted an official visit to Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), India’s international financial services center, from February 24 to 27, 2026. During the visit, TWSE met with local regulatory authorities, exchanges, and asset management institutions, and signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with two exchanges located in GIFT City. The visit demonstrates the proactive efforts of the Taiwanese and Indian exchanges to explore cross-border cooperation opportunities and marks an important milestone in the collaboration between the two capital markets.

The delegation was led by Ms. Brenda Hu, Chief Operating Officer, Asian Asset Management Center Promotion Office, Senior Vice President, TWSE. During the visit, TWSE participated in the Global Securities Markets Conclave (GSMC) hosted by the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), engaging in discussions with representatives from securities markets and asset management institutions worldwide. Ms. Hu was also invited to a closed-door roundtable hosted by Bloomberg, where she shared insights on the development of Taiwan’s ETF market and global capital flow trends under the growing influence of artificial intelligence.

During the visit, TWSE signed MoUs respectively with India International Exchange (India INX) and NSE International Exchange (NSEIX), establishing a long-term platform for bilateral capital market exchange. Through this cooperation, the two sides aim to enhance mutual understanding of market systems and products, jointly promote their respective markets, increase the visibility of Taiwan’s capital market in India and the international community, and gradually explore potential opportunities for future cross-border product collaboration.

In addition, TWSE also met with the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), the two international exchanges, and local asset management institutions. Beyond gaining deeper insights into the regulatory framework and development experience of GIFT City, TWSE actively promoted Taiwan’s capital market and the policy direction of the Asian Asset Management Center (AAMC) to the international community. Looking ahead, TWSE will continue to deepen international linkages, foster cross-market collaboration, and enhance global investors’ awareness of Taiwan’s capital market.
