Cathay Daiwa Japan REITs Dividend Income ETF (009817) Debuts on the TWSE, Strengthening Taiwan–Japan Collaboration

Cathay Securities Investment Trust (Cathay SITE) listed the Cathay Daiwa Japan REITs Dividend Income ETF (Ticker: 009817) on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) on February 6, 2026. This ETF marks Taiwan’s second cross-border feeder ETF between Taiwan and Japan and is also the first ETF in Taiwan to focus primarily on Japanese REITs. It is linked to the iFreeETF Tokyo Stock Exchange REIT Index (Ticker: 1488.JP), issued by Daiwa Asset Management.

To mark the listing, Cathay SITE held a listing ceremony attended by representatives from the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE), Daiwa Asset Management, Daiwa Securities, and local partners. The event underscored the strengthening of capital market ties between Taiwan and Japan through ETF product innovation, and marked another key milestone in the ongoing development of cross-border investment solutions.

Taiwan–Japan cross-border ETFs demonstrate Taiwan’s capacity for ETF innovation and product diversity. These offerings provide domestic investors with broader access to international asset allocation tools. The TWSE will continue to drive market innovation, expand product diversity, and deepen global connectivity, at the same time advancing to Taiwan’s goal of becoming the Asian Asset Management Center.
