Newly launched bilingual website of the Taiwan Stock Exchange on Sep. 21, 2019

The Taiwan Stock Exchange (“TWSE”) takes a proactive approach to internationalization. With the never-ending quest to enhance our products and services to foreign investors and the global community, effective September 21, 2019, the TWSE has launched a brand new bilingual website with content fully translated in two languages, Chinese and English. This resource realignment meets the worldwide need for content to be more comprehensive, resulting in a more user-friendly website experience and momentum in the Taiwan stock market.

The TWSE said that this website enhancement aligns with blueprint drafted by the National Development Council to develop Taiwan into a bilingual nation by 2030. After this augmentation, the TWSE corporate website, both homepage and the other site pages, supports a completely mirrored site in English. In addition, the max width is expanded from currently 960px to 1200px, the most popular screen resolution. After adjustment, the content takes up a wider screen and it helps reduce vertical scrolling when reading.

The TWSE stated that the new corporate website uses a mega menu which allows users to see multiple site content at a glance. This design enables users to get information they need with less clicking, and font size can be changed.

Moreover, the new corporate website sets up a “Most Popular Section”, the top 20 most visited pages, to facilitate reading.

The new corporate website offers a one-stop shop for information on the Taiwan capital market. The web maps include links to key content areas of relevant institutions, such as market regulators, market operators, associations, and others.

In a nutshell, the TWSE will continue to create a friendly bilingual financial service environment to enhance global investment in the Taiwan capital market.
