Capital Market Service Team Partners with Yuanta Securities to Promote Entry of High-Quality Companies into the Capital Market

The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and Taipei Exchange (TPEx) are working hand in hand to shape the future of Taiwan’s capital market. Through the “Capital Market Service Team” initiative, the two organizations integrate resources to provide enterprises with comprehensive consulting services, enabling them to quickly grasp the diverse pathways to enter the capital market as well as its advantages. On
September 18, 2025, the Capital Market Service Team joined forces with Yuanta Securities to host the seminar “Promoting Entry of High-Quality Companies into the Capital Market” at Le Méridien Taipei, offering one-stop, all-round services to businesses of all sizes. The initiative aims to help companies enter the capital market, strengthen international competitiveness, and move toward globalization.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Chen Yi-Cheng, Manager of the Domestic Listing Department, TWSE, stated that there are currently 1,053 listed companies on the exchange, with a total market capitalization of approximately NT$82 trillion and an average daily trading value of NT$368.8 billion. The TWSE ranks close to the global top 10 in terms of market capitalization and daily trading volume, reflecting the dynamism of Taiwan’s capital market. He further noted that through the Taiwan Innovation Board, TWSE is actively building “Asia’s Nasdaq.” Starting in 2025, the board removed the qualified-investor requirement, significantly increasing market liquidity. The Taiwan Innovation Board welcomes companies with strong innovative capacity and global expansion plans to apply for listing, creating a more internationally competitive capital market and positioning Taiwan as the premier listing venue for Asia’s innovative enterprises. This will also contribute to the accumulation of Taiwan’s innovation energy, serving as a driving force for the next century of industrial development.

Ms. Flora Lee, Deputy General Manager of TPEx, remarked that since its establishment 30 years ago, TPEx has assisted over 2,600 public companies in entering the capital market. It has developed a multi-tiered system, including the Go Incubation Board (GISA) for micro-enterprises, the Emerging Stock Board as a preparatory market for the main board, and the OTC market itself, meeting the diverse listing needs of SMEs at different growth stages. As of the end of August 2025, TPEx had 856 OTC-listed companies and 356 emerging companies, surpassing 1,200 in total. In the past two years, the average capital of companies applying for OTC listing has been nearly NT$300 million, spanning diverse industries such as semiconductors, long-established Taiwanese “hidden champions,” biotechnology, cybersecurity, big data, and restaurant chains.

Ms. Bell Lin, Vice Chief Corporate Banking Officer of Institutional Banking, Yuanta Financial Holdings, highlighted Yuanta Securities’ long-standing dedication to the capital market. With professionalism and commitment, Yuanta actively collaborates with the Capital Market Service Team to assist quality enterprises in applying for listing. She emphasized that going public not only facilitates fundraising and
business expansion but also enhances companies’ maturity in areas such as organizational structure, regulatory compliance, labor relations, and corporate governance, thereby supporting their sustainable growth.

Looking ahead, TWSE and TPEx will continue to uphold a spirit of openness and collaboration, working closely with intermediaries, government agencies, local governments, asset managers, and other stakeholders. By leveraging the full potential of the Capital Market Service Team, they will deepen engagement across industry ecosystems, support issuers in entering the capital market, and serve as a strong pillar for industrial development, injecting new vitality into Taiwan’s capital market and expanding its long-term value.

This seminar brought together 12 outstanding companies from diverse industries, including biotech and medical, semiconductors, industrial components, industrial computers, automotive parts and materials, and chemical filtration. In addition to presentations on Taiwan’s capital market landscape, advantages, and key listing processes, the event also offered on-site consulting services for listing applications, fostering lively interaction and engagement with participants.
