ESG InfoHub enhanced: TWSE launches sustainability report example page and new dashboards to support listed companies in the new era of ESG disclosure

Starting in 2025, all listed companies are required to publish annual sustainability reports, marking a pivotal step in Taiwan’s ESG disclosure framework. This development represents not only compliance with new regulations but also a significant move toward greater transparency and more effective communication between companies and their stakeholders.

To assist in meeting these requirements, the TWSE has launched a major upgrade to its ESG InfoHub website. The update features a new Sustainability Report Template Page and an expanded suite of ESG dashboard indicators, designed to make ESG data more accessible, user-friendly, and visually engaging.

The Sustainability Report Template Page addresses the practical needs of companies—particularly first-time preparers—by showcasing report examples organized under key sections: report overview, sustainable operations, stakeholder engagement and material topics, governance, environment, and social aspects. Each example includes clear labels and professional layouts, helping companies quickly understand reporting logic, structure, and content priorities.

To further enhance engagement, the page incorporates promotional videos and thematic copywriting to highlight the role of sustainability reports as more than compliance documents. They are positioned as strategic communication tools that connect companies with society. The TWSE has the Concepts “Begin with your sustainability report: Let ESG be the foundation of every choice.” The TWSE encourages a broad range of stakeholders—including investors, employees, students, and the general public—to explore case studies, deepen their understanding of ESG, and actively participate in Taiwan’s sustainable development journey.

The ESG InfoHub upgrade also includes an update of all listed companies’ 2024 ESG data within its dashboards, with the addition of new indicators such as greenhouse gas emissions intensity in revenue, number of fire incidents, and remuneration committee attendance rates. These cover all three ESG pillars—environmental, social, and governance—and allow users to conduct cross-company and cross-industry comparisons as well as track year-on-year changes.

In a parallel enhancement earlier this year, the TWSE’s ESG Digital Platform introduced a report drafting function that enables companies to automatically generate an initial draft by importing ESG indicators already submitted. Together, ESG InfoHub and the ESG Digital Platform act as twin digital engines—one streamlining the reporting process and reducing preparation burdens, the other strengthening data disclosure and usability.

Listed companies are encouraged to make full use of the upgraded ESG InfoHub and ESG Digital Platform to expedite preparation, ensure quality, and meet disclosure obligations. Through these dual upgrades, Taiwan’s ESG ecosystem is advancing toward greater maturity and transparency, inviting companies and all stakeholders to join in shaping a new chapter for sustainability reporting.
