The TWSE outlines six key strategies to advance ESG and build a Win-Win future for finance and society
The Taiwan Stock Exchange (the TWSE) continues to advance its sustainability efforts under two core pillars—“Building a Sustainable Market” and “Practicing Sustainable Responsibility.” These pillars are supported by six strategic themes spanning Market Stability, Financial Inclusion, International Cooperation, Green Operations, Integrity Governance, and Social Inclusion, forming a comprehensive roadmap with goals across all time horizons for stakeholders to track progress. Details of these initiatives are available in the Sustainability Development section of the TWSE’s official website.
In line with the Financial Supervisory Commission’s “Giving Back to Society by Financial Institutions Program,” the TWSE has disclosed financial feedback measures across four areas: public welfare, consumers, employees, and other stakeholders.
The updated Sustainability Development section on the TWSE’s website highlights several major sustainability achievements. On the environmental front, the TWSE achieved organizational carbon neutrality and obtained ISO 14068-1 certification. The Taiwan Carbon Solution Exchange (the TCX) also launched Taiwan’s first domestic platform for trading carbon reduction credits.
On the social front, the TWSE rolled out the “5D Anti-Fraud Campaign,” which generated approximately 20 million impressions across multiple digital channels. In governance, the TWSE enhanced financial inclusion by shortening intraday odd-lot matching intervals from one minute to five seconds, improving market access and trading efficiency for retail investors.
