TWSE spearheads dual-axis transformation! Upgraded ESG digital platform leverages AI to empower listed companies in enhancing sustainability disclosures
All listed companies have successfully completed their "Corporate ESG Information Disclosure" filings for the year 2025 by the end of June this year (2026). To further facilitate public awareness and understanding of corporate sustainability performance, the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) continues to optimize its ESG digital platform. This year marks the first-ever introduction of AI technology to help listed companies improve the efficiency and quality of their information filings, thereby realizing the core goal of the capital market's "Dual Digital and Sustainable Transformation."
The "ESG Digital Platform" developed by the TWSE has launched several practical functions and auxiliary resources this year:
1. Addition of the "AI Extraction of ESG Indicators" Service:
Utilizing AI technology, the system proactively extracts sustainability information related to ESG indicators from corporate annual reports and provides files that conform to the filing format. This significantly reduces the time companies spend on data collection, manual processing, and verification. It not only lightens the reporting burden on listed companies but also helps enhance the consistency of information disclosure.
2. Optimization of the "Assisted Sustainability Report Generation" Function:
Introduced last year (2025), this assisted generation function provides a reference framework, sample templates, and GRI Standards for sustainability reports. It can also automatically integrate existing ESG filing information to generate a first draft of the sustainability report, which has received widespread positive feedback from listed companies.
This year, the platform has been further upgraded to offer a more convenient online "text editor" interface. It also adds features such as duplicating the previous year's templates and automatically importing "SASB Information Disclosure" content, greatly strengthening report preparation efficiency and information integration capabilities. Furthermore, in alignment with the official effective date of the "GRI 101: Biodiversity" standard this year, the platform has simultaneously updated relevant templates, reference examples, and other resources to help companies rapidly adopt the latest disclosure regulations and align with international standards.
The TWSE emphasizes that it will continue to optimize digital tools and integrate resources in the future to help listed companies improve the quality of their sustainable information disclosure. It also encourages listed companies to make full use of the various resources on the "ESG Digital Platform" to successfully complete the preparation and filing of their sustainability reports before the end of August.
On the other hand, to provide a more comprehensive environment for querying sustainability information, the TWSE "ESG InfoHub" platform has also completed the update of sustainability information for all listed companies for the year 2025! Through one-stop data integration, the visual presentation of ESG information and the comparability of data across companies and industries has been significantly enhanced. The TWSE welcomes investors to make extensive use of the dashboard query function to gain deeper insight into listed companies' sustainability performance and development trends. Together, we can leverage the guiding momentum of the capital market to jointly promote Taiwan's sustainable development and international competitiveness.
The enhanced functions of the ESG Digital Platform for this year are detailed in the 2026 "Sustainability Report Advocacy Seminar for TWSE and TPEx Listed Companies." The video has been placed in the Corporate Governance Advocacy section of the "TWSE WebPro Video Network" (https://webpro.twse.com.tw/WebPortal/vod/104/?categoryId=182) and is available for public viewing at any time.
