TWSE ETN & ETF Market Overview

1. The Debut of ETNs on the Taiwan Market
   

   The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and the Taipei Exchange (TPEx) jointly held the “ETN Listing Ceremony” on April 30^th, welcoming the launch of 7 ETNs on the TWSE and 3 ETNs on the TPEx. The listing ceremony was a great success, inviting representatives of the authority, securities firms and international indices companies to attend.

   The Chairman of TWSE, Mr. Jan-Yau Hsu, mentioned that ETNs have been launched for more than 10 years in other countries, and the TWSE looks forward to the development of ETNs in Taiwan hereafter.

   The newly listed ETNs are as follows:

2. Asset Under Management
   The AUM of ETFs on the TWSE has demonstrated a continuous increasing trend since 2013. As of the end of April 2019, there were 118 ETFs listed on the TWSE with a total AUM of NTD 370 billion.
   
3. Trading Info
   As of the end of April 2019, the ETF average daily trading value was 9.44 billion. Also, the ETF trading value accounts for 8.22% of the total trading value on the TWSE.
