Global Connection

Big potential seen in Taiwan’s supply chain capabilities

With the growing attention to Taiwan’s industrial capabilities across investors in Asia and globally, the Taiwan Stock Exchange (the “TWSE”) organized two productive online investment forums just last month, providing investors opportunities to meet with leading companies in Taiwan and understand their most up-to-date business strategies.

The “TWSE/Goldman Sachs Virtual Taiwan Corporate Day 2022” online forum wrapped up on April 8, attracting 150 global asset managers during the three-day event, when they engaged in 66 meetings with representatives of 31 listed companies. The event also featured a presentation by the TWSE on the inclusive design and prospects of the newly-launched Taiwan Innovation Board (the “TIB”).

On top of that, the “11th Taiwan CEO Week on Air” virtual event, co-hosted by the TWSE and Quantum International Corp. (“QIC”) from April 11 to April 22, successfully drew the participation of 325 global investors to have 1,300 meetings with 47 IT, Biotech, Finance and other listed companies. The panel discussion also brought together the TWSE’s senior management and the founders of three extraordinary start-ups, namely, PlayNitride, Gogolook and Pinkoi, to discuss how to enhance the liquidity of the TIB and how the TWSE and potential issuers can work together to address certain listing considerations.

The videos of TWSE presentations are available on the Webpro 3.0  (https://webpro.twse.com.tw/webportal/vod/117/?categoryId=156).

These forums are in continuation of the TWSE’s market promotion campaigns and more will follow in the course of the year, including one in collaboration with SinoPac Securities this May.
