TWSE in Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea to promote Taiwan's capital market

To increase the capacity of Taiwan's capital market, facilitate the globalization of Taiwan’s listed companies, and increase the visibility of Taiwan's capital market, the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) visited Hong Kong, South Korea, and Japan from May 15 to May 18. These trips were organized in collaboration with Fubon Securities and KGI Securities, and led by President Lih-chung Chien and Senior Executive Vice President Rebecca Chen. In addition, to follow the New Southbound Policy, the TWSE encourages Taiwanese businesses operating overseas to list on the TWSE.  To create synergy of this trip, the TWSE President Chien also visited Bangkok along the way to meet with Taiwanese companies interested in listing in Taiwan.

From May 15 to 18, the TWSE and Fubon Securities hosted investment forums for investors in Hong Kong and Tokyo. More than a dozen Taiwan listed companies joined and met with institutional investors. Luncheon speeches offered information on the latest achievements of Taiwan's capital market and on TWSE's latest development strategies from various perspectives, including listing, trading, product, and corporate governance. The TWSE took this chance to engage with institutional investors and showed its commitment to augmenting Taiwan's market.

The TWSE also attended the “Global Investors Conference” cohosted by KGI Securities and Samsung Securities of South Korea on May 16 and May 17, accompanied by four Taiwan listed companies. In addition to meeting with international institutional investors, Senior Executive Vice President Rebecca Chen delivered a keynote speech to showcase the advantages of Taiwan's capital market and its corporate governance blueprint.

The TWSE is always seeking to attract foreign investment. From March to May, the TWSE attended IR Festa in Japan, Taiwan investment forums in Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea. The TWSE will continue to invite companies with strong performance to meet with foreign investors and to promote the outlook and advantages of Taiwan’s businesses and competitive advantages of individual companies. The TWSE aims to attract more foreign investments and enhance global visibility.
