TWSE and Goldman Sachs held “Taiwan Investment Seminars”
In just four short months, the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and Goldman Sachs have joined forces to highlight the advantages of investing in TWSE-listed companies to institutional investors in the region. The first event was the “2018 Investor Relations Summit” in December last year and then followed by the “Taiwan Investment Seminars” in Hong Kong in January 2019. Given the strong success of these two activities, we again teamed up in Singapore on April 16 to 18 to hold “Taiwan Investment Seminars.” The result was that more than 90 institutional investors met with the delegation which included 18 TWSE/TPEx-listed companies
The TWSE is extremely active in promoting listed companies. “Taiwan CEO Week” was also hosted in Hong Kong on April 8 to 10. The TWSE led a delegation with principal decision makers of medium and large electronics, textile, retail trade, construction, plus banking and insurance companies (see below). The purpose was to put those at the helm in direct contact with Singapore institutional investors. By doing so, the strengths and rewards offered by each company could be uniquely highlighted.
The meetings included the TWSE, which had value-added participation in providing market updates, and trade system reforms. Riding on this robust showing, the TWSE has plans to go to Japan, Malaysia, and Thailand in a synergized campaign that features the benefits and potential gains of investing in the Taiwan capital market.
