Seven TWSE seminars for listed companies draw to a successful close in 2021

The TWSE has held seven Business Seminars for Listed Companies in Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung since November 2021. The last in the series drew to a successful close on November 26, with more than 1,000 representatives of listed companies attending. The TWSE has uploaded the presentations into online videos available to the public in order to maximize the benefits of the seminars.

These seminars focused on material information and trading suspension, as well as key points of information filing and recent changes in regulations. The TWSE summarized important case data, such as common deficiencies, for listed companies' reference. It also explained the proposed revisions to the FAQs regarding "listed companies should set up internal procedures to disclose material information" and "disclose material information with proper subparagraphs”. All of which would support listed companies to increase information transparency. In order to comply with goals in the "Corporate Governance 3.0 - Sustainable Development Roadmap" by the Financial Supervisory Commission, it also serves to raise awareness of the amendments that "listed companies are required to publish annual unaudited annual financial information, in three phases based on the amount of capital." The seminars were well received by the company representatives.

As part of its commitment to serve the capital market, the TWSE holds regular business seminars every year. The purpose is to give listed-company managers and their staff a better understanding of the regulations. Details of the events can be found on the TWSE website (https://www.twse.com.tw).
