The Sustainable Disclosure Practice Training and Advocacy Meeting for Listed Companies started on May 2

The TWSE has organized a series of sustainable development related talent training courses since last year to assist listed companies in achieving development goals, and to enable them to understand the content of the “Action Plan for Sustainable Development of TWSE/TPEx Listed Companies (2023)” and respond early. From May 2 to May 30 this year, a total of three “Sustainable Disclosure Practice Training and Advocacy Meeting for Listed Companies” were held in Taipei, Kaohsiung and Taichung, with attendance of about 390 people.

 

The content of this advocacy meeting focuses on “Taiwan’s Industrial Net Zero Sustainability Policy and Promoting Measures and Anti-Greenwashing Issues,” “Action Plan for Sustainable Development of Listed Companies and Recent ESG Promotion Measures,” and “Carbon Reduction Technology and Circular Carbon Economy.” This covers topics such as domestic and international trends in net zero sustainability, Taiwan industries’ countermeasures, government net zero coaching resources, corporate governance and sustainable disclosure promotion measures, IFRS sustainability disclosure standards, and global carbon capture and storage goals and practices. In addition, this advocacy meeting incorporated practical training, and related courses on the sustainability report and greenhouse gas inventory was arranged for corporate governance executives and senior managers of listed companies.  The goal was that through this advocacy meeting, more resources would be provided to listed companies to promote the sustainability transformation of Taiwan’s capital market, and to comply with international standards.

 

Online registration is adopted for this advocacy meeting, with the QR CODE registration system being used. The deadline for the sessions in the north, center and south is two days before each session and on a first-come-first-served basis. All directors, independent directors, corporate governance directors and senior managers of listed companies are welcome to register and participate.
