Capital Market Service Team Launches Again – Hosts Seminar with KPMG in Taichung to Promote Entry of High-Quality Companies into the Capital Market

To assist high-quality companies in entering the capital market smoothly, the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and the Taipei Exchange (TPEx) jointly established the "Capital Market Service Team" in 2024. This initiative integrates resources and builds a one-stop service platform in collaboration with intermediaries, government agencies, and the startup ecosystem to promote the growth of Taiwan’s capital market and work toward becoming an "Asian Asset Management Center" and a "Cluster for Innovative Enterprises."

On July 4, 2025, TWSE partnered with KPMG Taiwan to host the “2025 Seminar on Promoting High-Quality Companies to Enter the Capital Market” at The Lin Hotel in Taichung. The event featured Mr. Tony Wu, Chairman of MICROPROGRAM INFORMATION Corp. which is to be listed on the stock exchange.

TWSE Senior Executive Vice President Hui-Chuan Tu stated in the opening  remarks, there were 1,045 listed companies on the TWSE with a total market capitalization of approximately NT$69 trillion, ranking 11th among major global stock exchanges. Furthermore, as of the end of May 2025, the TWSE’s average daily trading value reached NT$345 billion, placing it 13th globallydemonstrating Taiwan’s vibrant and highly liquid capital market.

TWSE continues to encourage innovative companies to raise funds via the capital market, particularly in emerging industries such as AI, robotics, drones, and satellite communications. These companies are forming a new cluster on the Innovation Board. Since the removal of the qualified investor restriction under Innovation Board 2.0 earlier this year, the board has thrived despite geopolitical challenges. As of the end of May, its total trading volume surged 144% compared to the same period in 2024.

This seminar not only deepened the connection between Taichung’s industries and the capital market but also served as a platform to deliver the latest policies and practical knowledge, empowering enterprises to better navigate listing processes and seize opportunities for transformation and growth.
