The TWSE calls attention to the ETF delisting

The beneficiary certificates of the “Fubon S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures ETF (00677U)” will be delisted at the TWSE from June 3, 2021.

In accordance with the Financial Supervisory Commission (“FSC”) Order No. 1090335155 dated March 19 2020, in the last 30 business days the average unit net asset value (“NAV”) of this fund has cumulatively fallen 90% compared to the initial unit NAV, the futures trust agreement shall be terminated.

As of April 23 2021, the average unit NAV of 00677U over the latest 30 trading days fell to NT$1.979, which was down cumulatively by more than 90% from its initial NAV.  Fubon Asset Management Co., Ltd. (“Fubon”) has applied to the competent authority for the termination of the futures trust agreement and the application has been approved, which has met the requirement of Article 50-2 of the Operating Rules of the Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation for delisting.

The TWSE calls for those who hold the ETF shares to pay close attention to the eventual delisting. Prior to June 3, 2021, investors may continue to trade the fund units at the centralized market. After the ETF delisting, Fubon will continue to provide services to the investors.
