Global Connection

With the pandemic under control, the TWSE re-launches IoT and Taiwan Innovation Board focused online investment events

The pandemic has been well controlled in Taiwan since August, and the Taiwan Stock Exchange (the “TWSE”) has re-launched various online investment events to bridge dialogue between listed companies and investors.

The “Taiwan Market Seoul On-line Conference” online investment event, co-hosted by the TWSE and Yuanta Securities from September 14 to 15, is the very first Korean investor and IoT focused investment event in recent years. Taiwan listed companies are prominent in the global IoT industry, and institutional investors from Korea, which also has a well-known Electronics industry, are highly interested in Taiwan’s growth

During the event, the TWSE shared the Taiwan economy and capital market outstanding achievements, specifically semiconductor related industries performance during the pandemic. The TWSE also invited Mr. Chris Hung, Deputy Director General and Senior Industry Consultant of Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute, to elaborate on the development and outlook of the Taiwan IoT related industries.

Another event is the “Taiwan CEO Week on Air” online investment event, held by the TWSE and Quantum International Corp. from September 27 to October 15; it includes 46 listed companies from IT, biotech and other industries to conduct online meetings with global institutional investors.

With the increasing awareness of innovative start-ups and the Taiwan Innovation Board (“TIB”), the TWSE will also arrange the “Taiwan Innovation Board Forum” on October 13, inviting founders of Perfect Corp., Gogolook and Kdan Mobile Software, Ltd. to share innovative companies’ prospects and expectation toward the Taiwan capital market.

These two events have not only brought listed companies and overseas investors together, but also captured keen investor interest to further explore the profit potential in the Taiwan capital market.
