TWSE starts the tiger year strong with two online investment events

As the festive lunar new year comes to a close, the Taiwan Stock Exchange (the “TWSE”) rolls out two consecutive online investment events, the "Taiwan ESG Corporate Day" with Nomura International (Hong Kong) Limited at the end of February, and " UBS x TWSE Taiwan Corporate Day" with UBS Securities in early March.

 

The "Taiwan ESG Corporate Day" held on Feb. 23, is an ideal affirmation of Taiwan’s ESG achievements as it is the first TWSE investment forum entirely focused on companies’ ESG performance. Two ESG professionals gave expert keynote speeches. The event received enthusiastic participation, including participation by seven leading TWSE-listed companies in the fields of semiconductor, finance, telecommunications, and transportation and 70 representatives of investment institutions, from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and other Asia-Pacific countries.

 

The upcoming "UBS x TWSE Taiwan Corporate Day 2022" is a two-day event starting from March 2. Twenty TWSE-listed companies have been invited to share their view with both international and local investors. Exclusively in the morning of March 3, a panel titled “How Taiwanese corporates have developed their ESG initiatives” will be held. The panel is designed to discuss ESG development from the perspective of exchanges, intermediaries, as well as listed companies. With respected panelists from the TWSE, UBS and Cathay Financial Holdings, a fruitful discussion can be expected.

 

The Year of Tiger symbolizes power and vitality, which describes the Taiwan market prospects. Aside from the solid fundamentals of the TWSE-listed companies, the merit of a favorable ESG ecosystem cannot be denied. The TWSE is pleased to present Taiwan’s ESG strengths, outlook and efforts made in past years to the world.
