Global Connection

TWSE wrapped up two successful online investment events

The Taiwan Stock Exchange has worked relentlessly to bring global investors and Taiwan enterprises together despite the raging pandemic. In the first half of 2022, the TWSE has rolled out six online investment events, each highly rated by both participating investors and invited listed companies. In September, the TWSE once again held two large-scale roadshows that lasted for three weeks.

From September 12 to 16, the TWSE worked together with the Taiwan Institute of Directors and IPR Advisors in co-hosting the "Post Pandemic World: Exploring Taiwan Best-in-Class" event. The week-long event invited 30 listed companies with outstanding ESG performance in semiconductor, electronics, shipping, biotechnology and medical care, food and tourism. There were 39 one-on-one or group meetings with 62 foreign institutional investors to report the latest operating results and achievements of the companies in time for the release of their semi-annual financial reports. During the event, the TWSE gave two keynote speeches in English and Chinese on the importance of sustainable development, sustainability reporting disclosure, and ESG evaluation requirements.

From September 19 to 30, the TWSE joined forces with QIC for the second time in 2022, and  launched the "12th Taiwan CEO Week" online investment event. A total of 47 listed companies from the semiconductor, electronic components, biotech, finance and other industries were invited to meet up with  more than 300 institutional investors from Asia Pacific, the United States and Europe. The highlight of the event, “New Economy Capital Market Forum” took place on the morning of September 21, in which the TWSE gave the latest update on trading features and related mechanisms of the Taiwan Innovation Board, followed by an insightful sharing of Taiwan's strategies and advantages in the innovation industry by Peter Kurz, QIC CSO. The forum was warmly received by more than 130 participants.

These events are part of the TWSE's ongoin effort to engage in online connectivity with global investors. To reach a wider audience, videos of the keynote speeches and forum have been uploaded to the TWSE Webpro 3.0 website. Please feel free to click on the links below:

Though the pandemic remains variant, the TWSE unceasingly fine tunes investment event formats to elevate dialogue between investors and enterprises. Considering that foreign investors are keen to attend in-person roadshows, the TWSE fully prepares to meet and go beyond their expectations. Surpassing this, the TWSE surveys market conditions and trends in the pursuit of offering unsurpassed value and maximizes the utmost offerings the Taiwan capital market has to offer.
