The TWSE attended the 61st WFE Annual Meeting, collaborating with exchanges worldwide to enhance market resiliency

Chairman and CEO Sherman Lin of the Taiwan Stock Exchange attended the 61st Annual Meeting of the World Federation of Exchanges (“WFE”), meeting with WFE members to discuss the recent challenges and the corresponding initiatives taken by global exchanges amid market uncertainties.

Given the current geopolitical tensions and scaling inflation around the world, this year's WFE Annual Meeting aim was to strengthen market resilience by calling on global exchanges and market participants to work together and manage market volatility in a calm and rational manner. The proposed measures to deepen ESG development, enhance technology innovation and fortify market infrastructure are in line with the current policy agenda of the Taiwan regulatory authority and the TWSE.

During the WFE Annual Meeting, the TWSE engaged in meetings with the Korea Exchange, Japan Exchange, Bursa Malaysia, Indonesia Stock Exchange and CBOE Global Markets, exploring possibilities for future partnership and cooperation.

The TWSE continues to actively participate in international organizations by joining various discussions with exchanges around the world, and takes such opportunities to demonstrate the achievements of the Taiwan capital market and maintain long-term relationships with fellow exchanges.
