Strengthening services for international investors: the Taiwan Stock Exchange Investment InfoHub to launch on July 12
From 2022, a TWSE listed company, that the paid-in capital of the end date of the last financial year is NT$2 billion at the minimum, shall input the English material information or explanations into the Internet information reporting system, and from 2024, all TWSE listed companies shall input the English material information or explanations. To further enhance services for international investors, the Taiwan Stock Exchange (the TWSE) will launch the “Investment InfoHub - The Taiwan Markets Dashboard” website (https://www.twse.com.tw/IIH/en/index) on July 12, providing investors with a one-stop integrated information service and comprehensive integrated information in both Chinese and English. The website will primarily integrate important investment information from the TWSE official website, market observation post system, and market information system.
The Taiwan capital market has demonstrated resilience, high dividend yields, and a complete information and communication technology industry supply chain. The current wave of artificial intelligence fervor, combined with the Federal Reserve's nearing the end of its interest rate hikes, has attracted foreign professional investment institutions to reinvest heavily in the TWSE, driving the weighted index higher.
As of June 30, the market value of stocks held by foreign investors has rebounded from around NTD 15.3 trillion in late October last year to over NTD 21.67 trillion, accounting for about 40.86% of the total market value of listed stocks.
The establishment of the Investment InfoHub is largely due to feedback from foreign institutional investors who expressed the need for more efficient information gathering related to investment, integration of important content from various TWSE websites, and the provision of consistent Chinese and English format information.
The TWSE stated that the Investment InfoHub website has three main highlights:
First, it provides an all-in-one data platform for your investment strategies.
The content includes TAIEX, foreign & other Investors trading, securities borrowing and lending, block trading, material information, recently released financial reports and investor conferences information, as well as transaction rankings like trading volume and value, net buy and sell of foreign & other Investors, and securities borrowing and lending.
Additionally, the platform offers fundamental data for individual companies, trading reference information, foreign & other Investors trading, securities borrowing and lending, foreign & mainland area Investors' trading and shareholding, dividend distribution, material Information, financial reports, investor conferences and financial ratios. It also includes TWSE press releases, official documents and announcements, investment calendars, and important links, among other market announcements and services.
Second, it offers visualized analytical tools delivering digestible data at a glance.
All data information, including the overall market and listed company data, is provided in visualized analysis reports, allowing investors to easily compare and analyze. Through the use of graphs, it provides trend analysis, saving time in data processing required for investment decisions.
Third, it provides multiple file export options for convenient data processing.
That is, all data reports provide different formats of data output, such as images and tables. Additionally, full-page content can be converted into PDF files, presenting it in report format for investors to use in research.
Looking forward, the TWSE will assess investors' feedback, continue to augment the website's functions and content, provide more diverse information, enhance the TWSE's services, advocate for more international funds to invest in Taiwan, and further promote the Taiwan capital market and economic development.
