The TWSE co-hosted the “2023 World Investor Week Forum,” focusing on resilience, digital trends, and sustainability.

The Taiwan Stock Exchange (the TWSE) joined forces with nine other financial institutions and professional associations to co-host the "2023 World Investor Week Forum" from October 2 to 6 in Taipei, with the goals of promoting financial education, enhancing investor resilience, and supporting the “World Investor Week” and “Ring the Bell for Financial Literacy” campaigns initiated by the International Organization of Securities Commissions and the World Federation of Exchanges.

The forum was themed "Resilience x Digital x Sustainability: Creating a New Future of Investment and Wealth Management," and featured over 40 keynote speeches and discussions. TWSE Chairman Sherman Lin stated that the focus of this forum aligns with the core business to which the TWSE is dedicated. For instance, the TWSE has collaborated with market participants and stakeholders to promote the ESG ecosystem, and introduced integrated resources like the ESG InfoHub and Investment InfoHub. The TWSE has also worked to augment the Taiwan Innovation Board to create a more favorable fundraising environment for innovative companies, and thus further advance the international competitiveness of the capital market.

A grand opening ceremony as well as a press conference were held on the first day of the event to raise awareness about the extreme importance of investor education and protection. Following the press conference, the TWSE participated in a panel discussion, elaborating on how to strengthen investor protection and resilience from various aspects such as corporate governance, market surveillance, information disclosure, and anti-financial fraud advocacy. On October 5, the TWSE organized the afternoon session, inviting research think tanks and professionals from the investment industry to explore the trends and opportunities related to carbon credits, sustainability, digital technology, and industrial innovation. It attracted more than 150 attendees, with several hundred more participants watching the live stream online.

The TWSE spares no effort in financial education and fraud prevention to empower investors and enhance their resilience. The five days of outreach activities of the “2023 World Investor Week Forum” were part of the TWSE’s ongoing efforts to uplift the professional knowledge of financial practitioners, promote financial literacy among the general public, and help investors keep abreast of the latest industry trends.
