As of the end of March 2024, there were 1006 companies listed on the TWSE with a total market capitalization of NTD 64.51 trillion. The dividend yield of our market was 2.81%, the P/B ratio was 2.35, and the P/E ratio was 23.53. 2. Primary Market
(1) TWSE listing companies and capital issues
As of the end of March 2024, there were 1006 companies listed on the TWSE, including 926 domestic companies and 80 foreign companies, with a total capital issued of NTD 7.66 trillion.
(2) Total market capitalization
As of the end of March 2024, the total market capitalization of TWSE-listed stocks amounted to NTD 64.51 trillion. The market capitalization of the shareholdings of foreign investors accounted for 43.03% of the total market capitalization.
(3) Total revenue of all listed companies
All listed companies reported NTD 3.24 trillion in total revenue in March 2024, 7.53% higher than in March 2023. The accumulated revenue of all listed companies from January to March rose by 5.47% compared to Year 2023.
3. Secondary Market
(1) TAIEX
TAIEX closed at 20,294.45 on March 29, 2024, up 1327.68 from last month (February 29, 2024) 18,966.77, an increase of approximately 7.00%.
(2) Total trading value
As of the end of March 2024, the total trading value for year-to-date was NTD 21.73 trillion on the TWSE market and the average daily trading value was NTD 388.02 billion.
4. Securities firms and investors
There were 64 securities brokerage firms with 779 branches.
As of the end of March 2024, the total number of stock accounts opened reached 22.85 million. The number of investors with trading activities was 3.72 million in March 2024, up 31% from February 2024.
