The “Sustainability report preparation and production function advocacy meeting for TWSE and TPEx listed companies” was held on November 7, 2024.

In line with the “Sustainable Development Action Plans for TWSE- and TPEx-Listed Companies (2023)” released by the Financial Supervisory Commission which requires all TWSE and TPEx listed companies to produce and file sustainability reports from next year (2025) onward, the TWSE and the TPEx will jointly hold five sessions of the “Sustainability Report Preparation and Production Function Advocacy Meeting for TWSE and TPEx Listed Companies” starting from November 7, 2024 in Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung, and Kaohsiung, covering the three topics of “Requirements for Sustainability Report Preparation and Guidelines on Material Topic Disclosure,” “Report Review Mechanism and Common Deficiencies,” and “Instructions on the Report Production Function.”

The TWSE stated that the “Guidelines for the Preparation of Material Topics in Sustainability Reports” and “Examples of Disclosure of Material Topics in Sustainability Reports” it jointly released with the TPEx will be explained in the advocacy meeting, in order to assist companies in preparing sustainability reports by referring to the Material Topics Standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and disclosing them appropriately. The TWSE will also promote the sustainability report review mechanism and common deficiencies to help augment the quality of sustainability information disclosure.

To assist companies in improving their efficiency of sustainable information disclosure, the TWSE and the TPEx launched the ESG Digital Platform in May 2024, which covers filing and inquiry functions including “Corporate ESG Information Disclosure,” “Sustainability Reports,” “Greenhouse Gas Emission and Reduction Information,” plus “Sustainable Economic Activity Questionnaire.” Starting from next year, all TWSE and TPEx listed companies will be required to prepare and submit their sustainability reports, and starting from 2025, an auxiliary sustainability report production function will be added to the ESG Digital Platform to assist in enhancing the efficiency in sustainability report preparation. In this advocacy meeting, the production functions that will soon be launched will be explained together with practical operations, in order to facilitate the participants’ familiarization with the relevant operating interface.

Online registration will be adopted for this advocacy meeting.
