TWSE and Paraguay’s BVA ink strategic MoU to fortify capital market ties and diplomatic synergy

The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and Paraguay’s Asunción Stock Exchange (BVA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a structured, long-term framework for cross-border cooperation and exchange. The agreement is designed to strengthen financial and capital market ties between Taiwan and Paraguay, facilitating continued dialogue, operational experience sharing, and mutual development.

The framework was formally executed by TWSE Chairman Sherman Lin and BVA Chairman Pablo Cheng Lu. Building on the existing diplomatic and economic alliance between the two nations, the institutional partnership aims to accelerate information exchange and share regulatory development strategies.

The TWSE has stated that expanding international engagement is a core goal in connecting Taiwan’s capital market to the global financial system. Given that Paraguay is a key diplomatic ally in South America, this framework helps both exchanges navigate each other's regulations and market operations, laying the groundwork for future joint initiatives in investor outreach, market promotion, and co-developed financial products.

Moving forward, the TWSE and the BVA intend to maintain a regular schedule of dialogue to actively share capital market development data, build mutual market understanding, and explore mutually beneficial cooperative undertakings.
