TIP Taiwan Pristine Index Series Expands Coverage and Offers Diversified Investment Strategies
Taiwan Index Plus Corporation (TIP) announced the October 2026 periodic review results of the TIP Taiwan Pristine Stock Index, with 129 additions and 66 deletions, bringing the total number of constituents to 394 across 32 industries. Small- and mid-cap stocks account for 95.2% of the constituents, highlighting the index's focus on high-quality companies that have yet to gain widespread market attention. Meanwhile, the TIP Taiwan Pristine Small and Mid-Cap Select 100 Index replaced 28 constituents while maintaining a portfolio of 100 stocks. Both changes took effect after the market close on October 19.
The Taiwan Pristine Stock Index seeks to identify companies with stable profitability and dividend distributions but relatively limited market attention. Following its April 2026 review, the index constituents recorded a 32.8% increase in average daily trading volume over the subsequent five months, compared with 13.5% for the broader market, suggesting growing investor interest in these previously overlooked companies.
Building on this investment philosophy, TIP has further expanded the series with another two indices targeting distinct investment objectives. The TIP Customized Taiwan Pristine Premium Yield Index selects 50 stocks using a multi-factor approach incorporating dividend performance, profitability, and price momentum. The TIP Taiwan Pristine Sustainability Index integrates TIP Taiwan Sustainability Ratings and corporate governance criteria to select up to 100 financially sound companies with strong sustainability practices.
Through the Taiwan Pristine Index Series, TIP aims to enhance the visibility of quality companies and provide institutional investors with diversified benchmarks for exploring Taiwan's equity market through quality, income, and sustainability strategies.
